I think I’m about 75% done shooting photos for the Rose City Fix book.

My buddy Adam and I started discussing a new book idea tentatively called "Last Years Youth". It’s going to be a compilation of interviews and photographs. Neither of us are journalists so, it's going to be interesting to see how it works out. We spent the better part of yesterday afternoon working on the overall concept and direction of the project.

Sometimes it's good to just leave the shutter open and see what happens...

Last week i went fishing a few times with Gabe and Jordan. I shot more photos than i fished which is expected, i guess. I'll be posting more photos from these trips up here

Saturday was the first day i can remember that i had no plans. No work, no shoots scheduled. It was strange. I almost didn't know what to do with myself. After getting coffee at my Creama, my favorite coffee shop, I set out with my camera to walk around the Pearl and shoot photos. I love shooting this time of year. The light is constantly changing. Things go from sun to rain and back to sun.

I took the day off to photograph the first latitude longitude event. They spent this morning at OHSU with Chris Klug and others hanging out with kids with cancer. I'm meeting Derek and Bryan at a wakeboarding demo they invited the kids to. It'll be a awesome photojournalistic opportunity. Plus i'm so excited to see where this thing goes and very lucky to be a part of it.

I'd really like to pour myself into the Latitude/Longitude project with my brother as well as complete work on my book. I have a ton of work ahead of me but i'm in no better place to make it all happen. I'll be posting more images form this weekend after work tonight.

This speaker system, or whatever it is, sits on the Fed Bank downtown protland and i've always wondered what it was. I see it everday on my drive down Burnside on my way home from work. Every time i see it I get this feeling i'm in some post apocalyptic film based on a George Orwell novel.... or something to that effect.

In RCFX news: shooting for the book is going well. Maybe a bit slower than i had originally thought, but i really like the idea of letting the book develop on it's own. So far i've met some really cool kids and photographed some awesome bikes.
