Velo City at Alpenrose.

In Sellwood, overlooking Oaks Bottom, there is a large blue building with huge birds painted on it. There is a great view of the building from the Spring Water Trail, where i often ride. I've always assumed it was an old hospital or a brewery or something like that. While on a ride on The Spring Water with my friend Victor he told me that it's actually a mausoleum . Upon finding this out, naturally, i wanted to go exploring. Victor and i rode up to Sellwood from the trail and went in the building to. We walked around for a while and shot photos.

On Saturday night i went down to Branx and shot a few photos of Amanda Blank. Sometimes I forget how much i love taking photos of live music.

I hope you all had as good of a Memorial Day weekend as I did. The weather in Portland has been amazing. I think this can only truly be appreciated if you've spent the last 7 months in cold rain, snow, and darkness.

Jerry, Gabe, and I spent most of sunday at a golf course hitting balls and getting sunburns. We finished the day off with a BBQ. I can't think of a better way to spend a 85º Sunday.

This weekend i worked on a campaign shoot for Portland fashion designer Liza Rietz. Liza sews each garment by hand; creating beautiful custom garments. After caffeinating ourselves Bryan Myss (amazing photographer, good friend, and founder of Latitude Longitude) and I met up with the rest of the crew at Liza's studio on Savior st off 23rd ave in Portland. We shot at Oaks Bottom in southeast Portland and at Hotel Modera downtown.
